Client Information and Rules

Welcome to Ballyjennings Stables

Clients are required to fill in the following Riding Centre Waiver and Permission form before the first lesson.

Here at Ballyjennings Centre we have a number of safety requirements that all riders and livery clients must agree to, in addition to the HSE and HSI guidelines that may be in place.

Minimum age of rider is 4 yrs of age, maximum rider weight accommodated is 15 1/2 st / 100 kg. We require 72hrs notice of cancellations, otherwise full payment of lesson fee is required. 

Cash or Revolut payments only no change available.

Please read and understand the rules. it is your responsibility to stay updated, so check back for any changes.

LESSON RULES

  1. Riders must provide their gloves, boots, hats. Body protectors are only required when jumping.
  2. Please ensure that your child and the person dropping off/collecting the child is aware of the rules.
  3. We are unable to supervise children outside of the lesson time, except by prior arrangement for our livery clients.
  4. Payments must be in envelopes with the name, date clearly marked. Change will not be available on the day. We also accept REvolut.
  5. Lessons must be paid for by full payment for the term.
  6. Please do not ask for credit as refusal may cause offense.
  7. Lessons will finish 5 minutes early to allow for tack adjustments for the next session.
  8. Out of respect for the instructors please do not distract the children or instructor during lessons
  9. The best way to contact us is via a message on Whatsapp.
  10. It is forbidden to take photos, or record video without prior agreement from the owners of the establishment.
  11. The management reserve the right to refuse admission.

Riders

  1. No chewing gum whilst riding.
  2. No scarves whilst riding.
  3. No jewellery of any sort.
  4. No U18 is allowed to use or carry a phone whilst riding
  5. Correct footwear, a boot with a heel is required.
  6. Hats body protectors must be of the accepted standards. Please ensure you are up to date with changes.
  7. No communication from anyone outside the arena whilst the pupil is riding.
  8. Lessons start on time and finish on time regardless of the time the student arrives.
  9. It is forbidden to take photos, or record video without prior agreement from the owners of the establishment.
  10. The management reserve the right to refuse admission.

Please find details on the Riding Hat and Body protector standards accepted by Aire approved Riding Centres.

When buying a riding hat/skull cap one of the following standards are required.
PAS015 2011 WITH BSI Kitemark or inspec IC Mark
ASTM F11363 with SEI or Inspec IC Mark
Snell E2016 with official Snell label
VG1 01.040 2014-12 with BSI kitemark
AS/NZ 3838 2006 and subsequent updates.
All hats must bear the CE mark and either BSI Kitemark or the SEI Global symbol with the above requirements
Please note the PAS015: 2011 and subsequent updates and the Snell E2016 meet higher impact criteria and are therefore of a higher standard.
Hats with CE on its own are not acceptable.
Body Protectors must have the Beta Turquoise 2018 Level 3 Tag.
